Carcassing Timber

About Our Carcassing Timber

We supply a full range of carcassing timber at Parr Rochdale, suited to structural construction, framing, and general building work. All our carcassing timber is graded, treated, and sourced to meet UK building standards.

Our carcassing stock provides the strength, consistency, and durability needed for indoor stud walls, outdoor structures, and other trade or domestic applications.

Carcassing timber refers to structural softwood used in load-bearing applications. It’s a staple for builders, joiners, and landscapers working on timber frames, roofing, joists, and decking subframes.

Most boards come kiln-dried and pressure-treated for optimal stability and resistance to decay.

At Parr Rochdale, we offer fast local delivery on all carcassing timber within a 20-mile radius. For larger orders or time-sensitive projects, our local stock levels and multi-drop service mean we can often deliver within one or two days.

Our Range of Treated & Untreated Carcassing Timber

At Parr Rochdale, we supply both treated carcassing timber and untreated carcassing timber in a wide range of standard sizes, with cross-sections starting from approximately 50mm up to 225mm and lengths available from 2.4 metres up to 6.0 metres. All options are C16 or C24 graded for structural use and kiln-dried.

Untreated

Our untreated carcassing timber is best suited to dry internal applications such as stud walls, roofing, floor joists, and dormer extensions. It’s a reliable structural softwood widely used in residential and commercial builds without the need for preservative treatment.

Treated

For projects that involve ground contact, moisture exposure, or outdoor environments, our tanalised treated carcassing timber provides added protection against rot, insect attack, and decay.

It’s designed for external framing, decking subframes, pergolas, fencing, and general landscaping builds. Treated sections are available in green and brown finishes and are pressure-treated to UC3 standards.

Both treated and untreated carcassing is manufactured to meet UK building regulations and is suitable for new builds, extensions, and structural refurbishments.

These products pair well with supplies from building materials ranges.
